This year we will have a free and open to the public Summer Storytime at two locations!

• August 23, 2pm you can enjoy a Hands-On Interactive Folktale at the Detroit Institute of Arts.

• August 26th, 1:30pm you can enjoy an interactive folktale S.H.O.W at the Hamtramck Public Library.

That’s right, the Hamtramck Public Library is having a Sustainable-Hands-On-Workshop!  We will teach you to make instruments out of recyclables before we tell our story.  We would like to give a special thanks to the Grosse Pointe Trader Joe’s for donating recycled products for our SHOW.  We will make drums, rain-sticks, shakers, and tambourines!  I look forward to seeing you at the DIA and Hamtramck Public Library.  Come back after you see the SHOW to see pictures of all the instruments we make.
